Here is a very easy recipe.
(and a post full of stupid formatting. Just because)
Take all your leftover veggies in your fridge. Shred, chop or dice them. Put them in a pan with some onions and garlic and whatever herbs you like. Cook everything together until they are softened and most of the liquid has evaporated. Cool the veggie mixture and then put little bits in some puff pastry and then top with some more puff pastry. Make a few slits on top and then bake it at 425 degrees for 25 minutes. There you have it! An incredibly easy, delicious way to use up lots of veggies. And your kids will like it too.
At the moment, in my oven is this very recipe. Shredded carrots and zucchini, fresh oregano, parsley and sage, sun-dried maters, onions, garlic and some green beanies. Sometimes, I feel like a damned genius.
Violet Caroline is not herself at the moment. Her teeth, her fever and her incredibly rank burps are what is upsetting her.
Jack is somewhere on his bike. I am assuming he isn't too far away. He very well could be. But oh well.
Van is hoarding all the free balloons we got at the grocery store this morning. I actually hate that the grocery store is some type of circus.
"Step right up! We have suckers and balloons for your children that have behaved like complete fools whilst you were doing you shopping! Let us reward them for their poor behavior!"
Ethan is currently at a golf tournament. He was begged to come be what he called "the ringer". The guy on the team that can come through with the good shot and carry the team. No pressure or anything. I love Ethan, but pressure in golf just isn't his flavor.
